  I'm a bit out of the loop with Lua versions, what specifically is it in Lua 5.2.x that's different / better?

  We use Lua 5.1.4, and no plans for Lua 5.2 yet.

  Yes and for now there is no intention to upgrade.

  @SinisterSoft, there are new functions called table.pack and table.unpack in Lua 5.2m so if you run that and get an error, you are using Lua 5.1.x if it works without errors, you are running 5.2.x
  
  You can also look at the compiled lua file, it will indicate the version of Lua you are using (of course you will need a hex file viewer)

  There is one major reason to not to upgrade is using LuaJIT (which is compatible with 5.1.x)

  LuaJIT would be very handy for Gideros 2.0...
  
  Will it be in the 1st release? I did a test on the PC (for one of my PC apps) and it was a 1 minute change for me - just replace the command, done.
  
  Also, the latest version 2.0.2 has some 5.2 extensions (they may have been in 2.0.1 - I don't know)

  LuaJIT is activily being developed, the 2.1 edge version was updated only 34 hours ago:

  @SinisterSoft unfortunately for Gideros it won't be that easy, it has some deeper intergration with Lua. But all in all, when we get the base working, it should be available in the labs first
