Which touchpad device for PC acts like a mobile touch screen?

I'd like to buy a touchpad for Windows PC, to play with the simulator just like with my tablet. Do you know a device which can be set up to act like that?

Mainly, my concern is, that a touch pad will probably have a separate left-click button and would not generate a click everytime you touch anywhere on the pad. Or it's software would not have the neccessary options.

  • PS: I know a touchpad in general does not do what a touchscreen does, there's no direct translation from pad to screen, only relative moves etc. That's probably no way to ever play a game like Fruit Ninja. But if you'd develop a game that e.g. uses touch-drags and ignores where they occur, just for some acceleration or so (I did that in Gideros) then if you could set up a pad to translate points only to the Gideros simulator window, maybe you could get somewhere with this.

PS2: I've got a 24" Screen with great colors, there's no Touchscreen like this :( At least no affordable. Did anyone try to use a touch pad with the simulator? And: In case I'd give up this touchpad idea and buy a touchscreen, does the Gideros simulator support PC touchscreens? In Windows 7?

Windows has a multitouch api since Windows 7. It would be good if the emulator supported it. - but I think this has been mentioned before.
