I was wondering if gideros is the right engine for me to make a game that's pretty complex? Or will i go mad before i finish?
say... this level of complexity:

Or will the code be very different?
Check this out: http://docs.giderosmobile.com/automatic_screen_scaling.html
I exclusively use letterbox scaling so that's probably a good starting point for you

How I look at it is there are Two major types of Frameworks
1. The framework can help you make quality apps
2. The framework can stuff all monetization methods and smother your content (best for when there isn't any content)
Luckily or unluckily, Gideros can today tick both the boxes. It can provide those that want to make money (off Advertising and other monetization means) the framework and also provide those that want a serious tool to create stuff the options.
Yet, @MikeHart has a point that those that have come in recently are presented with an array of tools to achieve their path be it 1 or 2 (as described above) however for many that have been around since the start, some have dropped off, some keep bobbing from time to time to check on progress and some are just ready to fall off. So its all about how much longer can they hold their breath for the features before they give up on it.

No point doing the work for 1.0 when 2.0 will be so much better.

I know you are all waiting for an official statement and every time we prepare one, something interesting happens that makes us rethought it.
Things moving really fast here behind the scenes, and more and more opportunities are opening for Gideros that we are trying to pursue. But on the other hands while those are not 100% deals we don't want to raise unneeded attention.
Our worst fear is to promise something in strict frames and then do not fulfill it.
If we say something, then we will really try to stick to it, and that makes us to rethink everything before stating.
I know that its not a good strategy, especially from a marketing point of view, but for our hearts it is easier to release the version or feature unexpectedly, then to pre announce it and then not fulfill it.
But that does not mean there won't be any updates on this. There are already some videos leaked from the update blog post we are preparing:
