PNG color format is not supported.

I get this error sometimes, when loading bitmaps. For some PNG files and not others, produced by the same method - for instance, I can have generated images using ImageMagick, one black and one red, otherwise the same, and the black works the other gets the error. So far I haven't seen a real pattern.
One other time I got the error after resizing an image to smaller (I think using Preview on the Mac, but can't be 100% sure), didn't save those files either.

For future reference, the extra switch is "-depth 24" if someone else is using ImageMagick.
