Hi - my major app on the app store is Albums FX - a scrapbooking photos app, written solo over many months in Objective C. My first toe in the water was an animated story book done in Cocos2d that broke over iOS updates. I'm new to Lua, but I hope Lua will work well if I decide to rewrite that for the retina display.
I'm hoping to use Gideros as a prototyping tool and for faster development. I'm hoping that if I do a prototype, that the app will mostly work, and I will be able to replace the bottlenecks with Objective C. So I need an extendable engine, which I understand Gideros is.
I was immediately impressed with how easy it was to download and get started. And being able so easily to run the samples on my iPhone was just amazing. So I'll put some time into exploring Gideros and see what it and I are capable of

With beta7 GiderosMobile introduced plugins for IOS. With it you will be able to speed up your game if you encounter bottlenecks and you can add missing functionlities as well.
