Simple Platformer Elements Example? Help

I am really REALLY lost. I've created tons of little games with Gideros already. Like dragging a player to a different location, Box2D, Box2D slingshots but STILL can't find a way to start creating a Platformer.
Can someone please create an example for moving Left, moving Right and Jumping? I don't know how I'll be able to accomplish those. Please help me
