Internet Connection required?

Hi all,
I am very new to game development and have been playing around with Corona and was dissatisfied with it. I'm trying out Gideros and I like that it's very straight forward. However, I can't seem to run the player without an internet connection? Are my settings off or do I need an internet connection to run the player? I'm currently without a stable internet connection.

Local desktop player (to test on your computer) should work without any Internet connection.

To test on your device with a player, you will need to set both your device and computer in the same network (Local network). Any wireless router would do, and you don't need any outside connection as Internet.

You need internet connection in the first run with Gideros => to register you free license. And that is the only time you need internet.

The play button was grayed-out earlier, but it seems to be working now. Any idea why that would be?

Just wondering, is the compiling / exporting process unlike Corona (where it sends the file to the servers to be packaged)?

@CharlieZ no, nothing like that. It exports simple android or xcode project straight to your pc, so you can modify it as you want and then compile yourself
