How to implement a form?

Hello!

I am new to Gideros Mobile, and I have UI question. In my planned app, I will need some text fields for user input, to be submitted to a server. Is it possible to build something corresponding to an HTML form (with input fields) in Gideros Mobile? Are there any cross-platform plugins? I have searched for examples without any luck.

you can POST data to the server from Gideros. However if you want to create a form with text fields, that is not possible as yet. On the iOS there is a possibility of using Wax and/or UIWebView to achieve the same, I am not sure about Android using the JavaBridge.

@perqa it is also possible to use TextInputDialog and bind it to specific buttons, to allow user to enter information from native keyboard

Thanks for the quick response! I saw TextInputDialog in the documentation, but it says it uses native dialogs, and I need to incorporate the text input fields in the app GUI somehow...almost like a form on web page.

Enhancements to Gideros for UI stuff like skinned input boxes, keyboard, etc would be great.
