Trouble with sprites

Hi, everyone!
I ran into a problem with the image.
If I click in the red circle, pressing is not transmitted sprite 2 , only sprite 3 (as I understand this is due to the fact that the sprite is drawn 3 later than sprite 2)
How can I solve this problem?

@oiky yes it receives the event first, and if you use stopPropagation method then it stops the event from reaching other elements. Just remove it if you have something similar

Quick solution would be to scale down the image, when hit testing it, like:

functiom SomeButton:onMouseDown(e) self:setScale(0.5) -- or any other you are comfortable, without overlaying the images if self:hitTestPoint(e.x, e.y) then --your button was clicked, do what you wanted here end self:setScale(1) -- return it back to normal end

I know thats probably a dirty hack, but thats first that came to my mind

Or write your own hitTestPoint function that takes into consideration the shape of those isometric tiles. You'll find lots of information googling for isometric hit testing.

@Oiky, just a thought, what is the position (z-index) of sprite 2 and sprite3? You can use stopPropagation() so that the other sprite does not emit an event. However *I think* that sprite on the top will get the event first, so make sure that the z-order is set accordingly.

@oiky: You could always use something like pointInPolygon to see if the point you touched is within your sprite.

As @Scouser says, there is nothing "magic" about hitTestPoint. You can always write your own function to suit your own needs. I think that is the best solution in your case.
