Simple Platformer Elements Example? Help

I am really REALLY lost. I've created tons of little games with Gideros already. Like dragging a player to a different location, Box2D, Box2D slingshots but STILL can't find a way to start creating a Platformer.

Can someone please create an example for moving Left, moving Right and Jumping? I don't know how I'll be able to accomplish those. Please help me

I've not tried it myself but it seems to be the sort of thing you are looking for.

Thank you @petec, but I have already tried that and the explanations are a bit lacking (for me, as a beginner in gideros) Been trying to understand that for hours but I cannot seem to get how most of it works

I wrote a platform game called Nebula Retro. Try downloading it and see if it does the sort of thing you want. If its of interest, I could share the source code with you.
