I use Screenflow on the Mac to capture video tutorials for another software, and I did do promos for my app using it too - I also use it as a video editor, as it's multi-track, unlike iMovie.
i use 'camstudio' to record on win pc. you can hide the cursor with it and has other useful features. i made the recording to this video with it as well... .
i just recorded the left side with it, the rest was done by some editing software. yet i remember that it also has some textover features, although probably simpler than what i needed. also note that one can switch on a 'press' effect, water ripples or what, to emphasize when a left-click happened. and also camstudio is free without adware, that's why i've chosen it.

i just used HyperCam, recorded the Gideros Player on the PC.
sped up the replay (as the PC is slower than what i see in the mobile.)
Its only a simple clip to add to Google/Youtube, more of an experiment as this isnt my "A" game...yet (evil laugh). )
