I've a question.. perhaps stupid... but is Gideros only for games ? I don't know if it's possible to use it to do other app, for example: the user enters various information (text area, text box or drop down, and gallery photo) and then he save this info and can edit them again... (for the data I was thinking about using XML)

currently we would like to think of Gideros as a game development engine and concentrate on that for now.

as @ar2rsawseen said, Team Gideros wants to focus on Gideros as a game development engine. However, if you see many of my demos and articles at http://howto.oz-apps.com try to push GiderosSDK to be used to make Business Apps.
If you are a subscriber, you will see that the nativeUI exists to create all of this (but experimental - not stable) and the new paradigm of mobile development is *not* using textboxes, etc. It is all visual and gestural, which makes it easier to create in GiderosSDK.
Add plug-ins to the mix and you have control on whatever you want, your app could do whatever the device can by writing native code in Obj-C and/or Java.

We are a software provider for the transport industry, currently most of our systems are written in Progress 4GL/Crystal Reports.
Our application manager has built a prototype IOS app. That simply, allow a truck driver to get push notifications, that when he opens his app can update his list of jobs for the day. each job/booking tells him where to pickup/deliver, allows for job completion and sign on glass. which goes back to our database server. via (SOAP/Sonic).
Anyway, he has written all this in XCODE. He wants to train me up in this system so i can help with development/support. He also knows im playing with a multiplatform tool and have played in Android. He likes the look of the IOS user interface (buttons), which i can mimic using Widget workshops stuff id say.
Ive told them the cost of supplying drivers with Iphone is a huge cost compared to generic Android phones. so im winning the push. Even the company owner is saying to potential customers we will be looking at Android soon.
Anyway, im finally getting my Mac Mini on Saturday, so when im up to speed with the new world of apple, ill have to have a stab as copying some features he has used for his app for a demo in IOS and Android. (feeling pumped lol)

while your point is valid that Androids are cheaper, they ARE cheaper. If you deploy an iOS app, you will have more performance and stability as compared to an Android.
Just in case you are put on the spot for suggesting something that *could* bomb at some point.
