I use text expanding tools for commonly used snippets, it is easier and faster, however I noticed that in the IDE, it only results to a series of 'a's I guess that must be due to the fact that the input is constantly being parse for autocomplete. while using the IDE, i also miss the features that I get in a text editor of my choice. Thought that you might want to know of this while you work on the future releases of the IDE. It will be helpful to have some flexibility there.
