I want to get this book, but I was wondering what people say about it. I think it could be useful for me since I am a beginner. So if you read this book, what do you think about, was it useful, would it be helpful for a beginner with very little experience?

The Book is an fantastic Start for developing with Gideros.
Bought it myself and can say a great Buy.

So i would say it's bad that the author don't plan to write another book in the future

So, should I just learn the language Lua first, or does this book cover everything I need to know to make an app?

The book cover not everything from lua but for beginning the book cover the instruction of the language. You can buy this book and start with coding your first game in Lua. A better instruction of Gideros you can't get. After this book if you want get deeper in deeper in LUA Programming take a look an an LUA specific book.

Hey Mejon. I purchased the book and its fairly good. It covers development of a full game more or less, but only a 2d physics based game, nothing with real sprites and stuff like that (platformer, shoot em up, etc).

However it is totally worth the low price for the valuable information it does contain. Best of all you can get help with any questions right here since the author and many of the books owners are here just waiting to help

I just finished working my way through this book, and I recommend it highly to anyone who is just starting out. Great job by @ar2rsawseen

Also, given that it's now been over 2 years since the book was published, it's a nice testimony to stability of the project that all of the code in the book still works perfectly with the latest version of Gideros.
