You can easily set it up in xCode and your app will still work.

@atilim, maybe if you could work out a few quirks, this could also become a feature of Gideros (only for iOS)

After reading your post, it seems there aren't any obstacles to develop a Newsstand application. (and a NewsKit plugin improve the functionality of the app more)

actually none, in fact the bits that would be used for downloading, enumerating and changing the cover are objective-c code which can also be added from the exported project if it were not for the appdelegate isssue. So if you would create a plug-in for this, it will be the easiest of them all to add.
