Is there a reason gideros keeps the orientation in portrait even when landscape is selected?

Of course the images and such are adjusted such that it looks right. But why is it done that way? Also how come it's so hard to lock it to one orientation? This one moves to portrait even if I didn't want it to!
I've had to fix the orientation into portrait only, with xcode, to get it to appear properly in landscape but then the keyboard appears in the portrait orientation!
