Do we need to use bitmap fonts? How does an app display characters in a country that does not use alpha numeric fonts like Korea, Japan etc. On ios for example, does it always default an English language game to English language text? Cheers
We only support bitmap fonts and we do plan to support rendering ttf fonts in the near future. Currently, it's possible to use Chinese, Korean or Japanese characters as shown here: http://www.giderosmobile.com/forum/discussion/65#Item_6
Was trying to port one of our more salable apps from the other Lua language but have put it on the back burner for now. As soon as we have the ability for system native fonts being used and perhaps, although not as important, the ability to have the native keyboard we will definitely be porting it across.
In the meantime I am creating lots and lots of animations required for version 2 of our first game we released and then its onto the coding in Gideros.
