Did anyone get a chance to see the new IDE CodeHelper from Vladu Bogdan, the developer that brought us SpriteHelper and LevelHelper. This IDE works on Mac OSX only and can support C*SDK, Gideros, JavaScript, Cocos2D and has plans to support Moai and lot more. The point is that it is one IDE that will simplify tasks if you work with various frameworks or languages.

Bought level and spritehelper 1 year ago..
1) No ability to run on a real device or even in the genuine iOS simulator. To me, instant testing on a device is one of the main features of Gideros.
2) No Debugging. Sigh. Surely any "pro" IDE should attempt to offer this?
So I'm staying with Gideros Studio for coding and general launching/testing and Zerobrane Studio for debugging and live coding/experimentation.
It's possible I've missed something in CodeHelper, so if anyone finds out how to do either of these, please let me know.

At the end of the day it comes down to what is best for the individual. Believe it of not, I still prefer a Fountain pen over any other (hate ball pens) and a mechanical pencil or a clutch pencil. Now some may not like a fountain pen and swear by ball pens.
Similarly I might not have the need to live coding but yes, nothing can beat the quick deploy/test feature of Gideros. If you read the last line on my original post, it said this is a good option for those that work with various frameworks or languages and that this supports Gideros as well as C*SDK. Not every tool and software is for everyone.
The main advantage of CodeHelper is to act as a project manager for multiple projects. This helps to manage multiple projects and frameworks from one source. It even helps set up the project properties, etc from the application itself. The launching of the Gideros Player is a bit slow, apart from that, it works well for what it is set out to be. If you would be interested to know more about it, I will have a detailed review on http://reviewme.oz-apps.com soon.

I undertand that some things may not be finished when it comes to Gideros (or the app itself)
The app right now its in beta.
I will release an update later today that will add code completion for Gideros
Test on device, image viewer, sound viewer and remaining features will be added probably next week.
There are other issues in gideros like errors being reported by gideros itself in a popup window and not by CodeHelper - the authors of gideros promised that they will add support for me in order to display the error directly in CodeHelper (with ability to jump to the error and file)
Gideros support will also come in SpriteHelper and LevelHelper.
A full game tutorial is in the works for gideros using all 3 apps and will be released soon.
