  In the future, if/when Gideros eventually uses LuaJIT then bit ops should be included by default.

  @BlueByLiquid The bitop plugin works fine on iOS (not tried for Android). The MD5 function I posted elsewhere in the forum using the bitop plugin was super fast & performed to spec.

  @BlueByLiquid, they have mentioned that they are looking at LuaJIT but there is no defined timescale. Also, please remember that the JIT compilation function will not be available under iOS because Apple will not allow dynamic compilation of code. Apparently, the LuaJIT interpreter is still a bit fast than the standard one but don't expect an order of magnitude speed up if you are using IOS.
