Containers and Movie Clips

Hi Guys
I think I understand this, but I just want to double check that I'm doing this right
Lets say I have a boat and I want to put some pirates in it + I want to move the boat from left to right and have the pirates hopping up and down while the boat is moving.
Would the right setup be …
- Make an animated movie clip of the pirate hopping up and down.
- Make a graphic of the boat.
- Put the pirate movie clip and the boat graphic inside a pirateShipContainer = Sprite.new()
- Tween the boat from left to right while playing the movie clip?
Is this the right approach?
