Gideros Player Crashing

  I've got an issue like this one, but I use windows 10. I've changed the windows firewall to off, remove my antivirus but no way, it crash.
  
  But I can run it on my Android device, or send to another computer which run the player.

  I help with the code club at our local primary, they also use Gideros - it works ok there on a room full of machines.

  I think the issue is that GiderosPlayer.exe and GiderosStudio.exe are installed on a server rather than on a local computer. GiderosStudio needs to communicate with GiderosPlayer via a network protocol and this might be what's causing trouble via interaction with a firewall perhaps (though it doesn't explain crash on start up).
  
  You say it still crashes when you install the software locally? So it seems to be something to do with just being on a networked computer rather than the communication itself.
  
  could you perhaps try exporting a test example project: File > export > windows desktop tab and test if the exported app crashes?

  Sorry to reply in this thread but in my case I found a temporary solution for my windows 10. I had the same problem with windows 8.1
  
  I have installed the 2015.08 version of Gideros, the studio run well, the player open too but when I try to launch a project, windows says that GiderosPlayer.exe has crashed.
  
  So I tryed lot of lot of thing about firewall and antivirus. Run as Admin, update Java, Visual C++, openGl, Directx and lot of things... No way. Then I have installed an older version of Gideros (2014.xx) and it works well ! I try with the 2015.04.12 version of Gideros, it works too.
  
  Finally, I copyed my 2015.04.12 version of GiderosPlayer.exe inside my 2015.08 folder. And I have copied the gideros.dll and gid.dll too inside the 2015.08 folder.
  
  So I used GiderosStudio 2015.08 and GiderosPlayer 2015.04.12 and it work well !
  
  
  The question is, what is the difference about the player between 2015.08 and 2015.04.12 ? Maybe the player can't copy the files in the "temp" folder because it don't have the right ?

  There is new network init code in the newer player. What network are you running on, is it a standard windows network or are you using some third party network system?
