How are you getting on with WinRT players?

So there are two WinRT players: the Windows player and the Windows Phone player. Has anyone tried using these? Did they install OK? I wrote some instructions here:

The Windows Phone player is similar to the ones for iOS and Android. The Windows player is a bit different in that you install it on a Windows 8.1 PC (which you regard as a "device") and control it from another PC.
