Ok the solution was not what I wanted I want to move an edge shape dynamically when a collision occurs, can anybody tell me if this is possible and if so how??
@ar2rsawseen: I was again trying to be too smart. Now working the way I want. Unfortunately I just tested what I have written on my phone (ZTE Blade running @ 604MHz) and with only 26 bodies it crawls along @ 5fps, I get constant 60fps on iPod touch & iPad so I think I'm going to have to buy me one of these to develop on .
It's amazing what a difference the floating point unit in Arm7 devices make. What about implementing a "cut down" version of the physics library (maybe using fixed point) as a plugin - it'd be interesting to see how much faster you could make it
