Is there any tutorial or something on how to deploy plugins to the Desktop player. As I understand it, if the plugin is in C++ then we would be able to deploy the plugin in all platforms. I read somewhere that you'll have to build dll files. But I have no idea how(did some googling.. still..).
Can an Someone point me in the right direction?

I tried to build a dll using Visual C++ 2010 Express. Keep getting lots of errors.
