In fact I can play with Gideros Studio natively in my Ubuntu box, it took a few hours to port to Linux. It only needs a decent packaging (RPM / dpkg / tar.gz / tar.bz2 etc).
Maybe, before the final release, we put some effort for an interim native Linux release and provide a beta build so we can test the Linux build together
If you are using make, checkinstall can be used to make deb (and rpm and slackware) packages that may be good enough for beta testing purposes while figuring out how to do proper packages.
