how can we do amazon in-app purchase? i see that there is a plugin for google in-app purchase, could we have the same for amazon? (probably it is not very hard to modify the source for it). it seems that i could use this feature.
@keszegh unfortunately Gideros Team is too busy with tons of other features, thus amazon in-app is not even on the horizon. So unless someone from the community who really needs it or will be paid to do it creates it, I think we can not dream about amazon in-app for now.
Of course we could always do crowd sourcing for opensourced plugin or something, just need to find a volunteer
thanks, i was afraid of such an answer. although i'm not even sure if i'm willing to go in the direction of IAP, yet it would fit perfectly my latest project. of course i could pay "1 or 2 dollars" if somebody would make this plugin.
@ar2rsawseen that's not actually a bad idea - maybe if someone managed a simple paypal account and the community voted on which plugin they wanted and contributed to a "pot" then the developer could get the pot on successful completion and posting of the plugin.

Make plugins for Android (JNI, libs, etc) is a mess and error prone, I have an idea to create a plugin that will be a "bridge" between Java and Lua. It's basically a bidirectional callback/event system. In this way it will be very easy and fast to make any plugin for Android; just code your plugin directly in Java and control it from Lua (no more JNI, libs, C++/Lua linking...). I'm really busy right now and I'm not using Android but I'll try to do it ASAP.
Have you checked this thread, there are some posts discussing the option to create the same for Android, maybe there's something usable already, like SL4A, that could be used through socket layer, etc.
@ar2rsawseen There are some projects like JavaCPP, BridJ, etc. but it's not necessary to use them because I'll centralize all communications between Java and Lua, it'll be like a router (but without sockets). I want it to be easy to use, light and stable.
@Arthurs, in fact like the Marketplace, how about creating a "crowdsource" section which can be a bit like Kickstarter and people can vote for a particular feature and even place their backing to a paypal account that is managed by someone that can be made trustee of this account.
