The world did not end

Ok, those that were hopeful that the world would end and were deferring Christmas Shopping or avoiding to pay off some of the bills and some of those that partied while the world ended... The Good/Bad news is that the world did not end, we still have a tomorrow to look forward to, christmas presents to buy and bills to pay and Apps to make using Gideros.

The good news is that because the world did not end and my book is scheduled on the 26th, the day after Christmas (as it got postponed)

So there we are...

@OZApps: 2 things you never took into account.

1. All astronomical events happen in UT (Universal Time which is actually the same as GMT)
2. As @techdoto points out, the Mayans will have worked their calendar out in Mayan time which is at least 5 hours behind GMT

Either way, whatever did or didn't happen in the Antipodes is in no way related to the Mayan calendar end of world.

@phong that javascript is a bit flawed. I switched to Text mode and then to graphical and then back to text (did this a couple of times, the time to the end of the world which was 5 minutes increased to 7 minutes) however the "DEMO" of the world ending was quite a good touch.

The ratio of Sheep per person is higher in New Zealand (43 million sheep, 4.1 million people, ~11 per person) than Australia (110 million sheep, 21 million people, approx 6 per person) must be due to the fact that we have two dogs and no sheep and so do our neighbours and a lot of people in the town

It can also be that the sheep are kiwis anyways (Disclaimer: it would sound quite weird for those that would not know what a kiwi is, not the fruit, not the bird) Are you from NZ by any chance?

NZ is a lovely place no doubt, after all All of the LOTR/Hobbit movies are shot there, Xena, Hercules, etc are shot there. While we enjoy our beaches, barbies (BBQ not the dolls from Mattel) and beer, we also know that we are the champions be it Cricket or Rugby League. In fact the match at Dairy Farmers Stadium where NZ lost to Australia was played within 2 Kms from my house.
