You'll find that they both share similar concepts, but I think Gideros has a much cleaner API and also it's faster. Gideros on the other side is missing a few things like video playback or native interface but there are plugins around that close that gap, at least on iOS (have a look for Hot Wax)

Hi Joanne, two frameworks are similar in the sense that they both use Lua as the language of choice. You'll be interested to see that Gideros has a wifi testing opportunity, a clean and consistent API, ability to extend the framework with plugins, a lively forum with many helpful people and more.
Here's a shameless copy from one of Arturs' post to give you an idea of where to start:
Hi @Joanne, we switched from Corona to Gideros about 5 months ago and have found it be more robust and reliable. The learning curve was very quick, about 1 - 2 of playing around and looking at examples to get up to speed from Corona.
Also, you'll find the class system that Gideros uses is very clean and the .lua files we find are generally cleaner that ours were with Corona... but that's just our experience
@Joanne - welcome, we're a friendly bunch around here, so don't be shy about asking questions if there's anything you need to know.
