Hello there~ I'm Don, 20 years old and a newbie programmer from the Philippines! I have tested various SDK and Engines like Corona, Cocos-2dx, MOAI, AndEngine, Libgdx and finally, Gideros. I seem to like Gideros the most but unfortunately, I don't know how to start a platformer game because the documentation is kinda well.. I don't know. I can only do dragging movements like the one in the samples, but that doesn't seem to apply much in a platformer game lol
So anyway, I hope I can create wonderful games with Gideros!
Thank you for creating Gideros, makes lives easier
Please check out my little developer diary here:
http://dscc-gamedev.tumblr.comIt's kinda hard to learn Programming and Spriting at the same time *sigh* I wonder how many months would it take to release a decent demo hmm.. well, that is all for the introduction!
ps. sorry for my semi-horrible English. I'm still learning lol

Oh and I believe I heard that kind of welcome somewhere.. LMFAO XD
Well anyway, do you happen to know any tutorials about 2d Platformer Games? I'm trying to create a platformer game but I do not seem to know where to start.
EDIT: Simple movements like Move left, right, Jump and Attack. Camera movements when the player moves, adding enemies, and the use of sprite sheets?|

Have fun!
Meet Kate. Grey is her favourite colour. Maths is her favourite subject. Decency is her favourite type of behaviour.
She definitely does not like jewellery or modelling, but loves aeroplanes and other machines made of aluminium.
