Windows Phone 8 Motivation!

As we all know with iOS and Android, the less developers there are in an ecosystem the easier it is to standout so I would love to see Gideros support WP before Mac and Window! Just my 2 cents, feel free to criticize

Does your game has a great success in latin america? Google Play also has really great number of downloads in latin america. But not for me yet:)

Nope not much success in Latin America but I personally like Windows Phone and I think in the coming years it will gain a significant market share in the US and will become an important platform to develop for. The earlier we can start making apps for it , the earlier we can become "established developers" on that platform and have an edge once the platform grows big. Maybe I am too ambitious but starting early is a big plus

I would say this is far from being an indicator. That also means the market has not been validated.
The only validation that counts is : do users/customers have the ability and the willingness to pay? Do we have indicators that prove that this is happening *already* and will keep on happening for x months?
Then you can evaluate if the investment is worth it.

Without indicators, I don't think it's wise to consider "being the first" a sign of advantage.
It's far better to be second : look at what is trending (and validated with money), let others invest a lot to create that validation, invest your money in areas where "the first" is not able to invest.
The iPod was far from being the first mp3 player on the market, same for the iPhone, same for the iPad, etc....

Today you can already standout in the Ouya market. But do you care?

I'm not against the idea of WP8 (actually i really *hope* for the ability to biuld for desktop first it's been validated for *years*) but I'm saying that we need better indicators.

Future support for WP8 was announced about 6 months ago IIRC, with a certain amount of fanfare. But since then nothing. By this stage I'd like to see, for example, a YouTube video showing something working on WP8. Or has this project been quietly shelved?

My main hope with WP8 is it will ALSO allow WinRT support and hence admission to the Windows app store. So 2 for price of 1.

Windows has a lot more upside than Ouya. This platform is seeing 10 million app transactions and 500 new apps daily. I kind of feel small indie devs can do well in the niches and this is an attractive niche to me.
