I usually don't post a lot on forums but I really like the vibe here so I wanted to get involved.

I'd call myself a new developer although I have some past experience with php and other web technologies. I am learning a ton everyday by tearing apart the examples and just reading the reference manual and parts of the ultimate guide.

If I could ask for anything it would probably be a larger example app that showed off the "best practice" way of building a complete app, but I'll figure it out eventually anyway.

You will probably be seeing a lot more of me as I start posting a bunch of questions )

Glad to see you here. I'm pretty sure you'll get acquinted to Lua syntax as it resembles PHP, JS and other scripting languages.

Did you try the instant, on-device testing facility yet? It allows you test your application on your iPhone/iPad/Android over Wi-Fi, which is a great time saver.

And - yes, we do have an emotional, helpful and lively atmosphere here. Happy you are involved. Just keep an eye on us, we'll grow biiiig! \:D/

Thanks guys! and yes gorkem I know about the instant testing which is a really cool feature!

I also just grabbed some of the templates from appcodingeasy which are larger examples, now I'll have to try not to get overwhelmed. )
