No Brakes in HTML5, now on Miniclip!

Check it out: A Gideros made game released on one of the biggest web gaming portals. Massive kudos to @hgy29 for making the HTML5 export happen.

There are lots of sites like Miniclip out there that would love to have your game on their website. Support the kickstarter! It will include a lot more features.

  • That's awesome! Lots of sites will buy licences from game devs to host their game, so the monetisation potential is awesome.

Why not tap into all the streams available :)

People reading this forum really need to listen to what @totebo says. HTML5 is a huge boost for all Gideros developers but it's only going to happen if the Kickstarter meets its target.

Don't for a moment think that @hgy29 is going to contribute his code anyway, because he won't. Not a single line of the HTML5 code has been submitted to the Gideros Github repo, and not a single line every will be if the KS doesn't get to 5000 euro.

And don't think someone else is going to magically send in a pull request to add HTML5. No one else could do it. @hgy29 has a unique skill set, a unique knowledge of the Gideros code base (having written much of it himself) and has put in hundreds of hours investigating WebGL and Emscripten.

So it's now or never guys! Contribute a few dollars to make HTML5 happen or lose it forever. Think how you will feel in early November if the KS fails and HTML5 disappears for ever. For the price of a cup of coffee, you missed the chance to upload all your games to MiniClip and even Facebook! How will you feel? How hard will you kick yourself?

And don't leave it to the last minute. Putting money in now gives a psychological boost to the Kickstarter. If it gets close to the finish line, it encourages others to contribute. Remember you won't pay anything if the Kickstarter does not succeed so there is no benefit in delaying.
