I saw that a new device has come out that should be good for testing joypad based games written in Gideros. It's called the Retroid Pocket 2. It runs Android and has OpenGL ES 2.0 - so Gideros games should work on it. It's $80, but this coupon should discount it by about $5 I think: YEJJD

probably one of those joysticks on which one can attach the phone would be better, as most people have strong phones anyway (at least stronger than this pocket 2 stuff). do you have any recommendation of cheap such bluetooth android compatible phone attachable joysticks? (on the page you linked there are some)

As far as Bluetooth joypads go, anything from 8bitdo are great: https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-for-xbox-cloud-gaming-on-android/
