Forum and Wiki maintenance

I am replacing 7 servers in my company's infrastructure, one of which is holding gideros forum and wiki. Expect service outage while the data is transferred and DNS is changed. I can't tell now exactly when this will happen, probably tomorrow or friday.

I think there may be an issue with the Wiki - can't log in and password reset doesn't seem to work...

My desktop browsers still show maintenance sign only.

I was signed off and was able to login with my user and pw.

@keszegh, it happens to me too on some devices. I suppose the DNS change isn’t fully propagated and you can hit the old server. dNS change can take up to three days depending on the TTL of the record.

@SinisterSoft, thanks I didn’t check email routing on the new server. Will do ASAP.

There was indeed an issue with outgoing mail, should be ok now.

Yes, the links to be working, but doesn't return any results. I don't know how to fix it beside attempting to upgrade the forum to a newer version

Let us upgrade the forum, no need to be nostalgic. (I was against it before but now i understand that our forum is really so much simple in functionality)
Even migration will not work perfectly we will leave the old forum open and continue to use the the new one.

I can try to do it step by step, we are using 2.3.1 and 3.2 is out, I can try to update to 2.4, 2.5,2.6 and so on in sequence following the migration instructions for each version

consider how much we gain and loose and how much of your time it takes.
i'm happy with the forum as it is (except for the occasional bots) but of course i'm not against improvements.

If it will not take so much time i think this is the best way. If somehow i can help in anyway i can spare my time also helping just give me job and i will be glad to help you.
