Hi,

I found this SDK just the other day and just started playing around, pretty impressed so far!

Background, been a dev for years and years (Delphi) then got into iOS development about 2 years ago. Built a few utility style apps using ObjC and then wrote a game in cocos2d. Found corona about 18 months ago and managed to take advantage of the introductory beta offer. Did another game using corona and was impressed with the ease of development.

Nice to see some familiar names on here from the Corona Forums (MikeH being one). Being brutally honest I'm on the fence with regards to corona vs gideros. I love the local compile and the plug-in architecture. I guess worth waiting around to see more 3rd party tool development for gideros; sprite/level editors/multi-player etc.

Hi Gary, welcome aboard - interestingly enough a lot of the third party tools actually seem to be supporting Gideros now - although as Gideros has native tile map support Lime isn't really required.

Welcome @Garyk1968. You will love it here. The community is still smaller than the onc you were used to but you will see that the quality here is very very high.
