Hi Guys,
I appreciate the effort that you have put in Gideros to where it is, but it seems like the momentum is dropping off a little. Render to texture, shaders and access to the sprite data from plugins I think are priority items that will allow the developers to expand the offerings of Gideros to the community.
I am just trying to be honest that Gideros has a great future, but adding a few more major features quickly I think will expand your user base even further and the community will thrive. Just look at GregBug for example, give him more 'control' and I know he will produce magical stuff for his projects and the community.
Please don't take this negatively. Gideros is a great tool, but it just needs that little bit more....

The only one I don't understand is LPeg. Can anyone explain what this is or what it is used for. Wikipedia and the lua site are way above my head on this.

Polygon shape with ability to change UV texture value for each point. So creating trails is easier.

I must go back and check - but if memory serves I think Gideros has it's own OpenGL canvas / context / surface, I know the UIKit plugin creates it's own view so all the controls appear on top of the Gideros surface, maybe a new OpenGL context could be used to layer a native particle system on top.
Actually the other thing that would be really nice would be to have an optional draw hook so we could potentially do custom rendering using direct calls rather than the retained mode.
