  @OZApps: yeah, that sounds about right. I have very meaningful conversations in a pub where the subjects are wide ranging. The subject matter gets less and less serious the more beer (as in real beer not that watered down chemical stuff they call beer in OZ ) is consumed.

  @scouser, yep you hear that one too? Let me tell you about the secret, the Brits cannot handle the Aussie beer, so we had to create a watered down chemical version to suit their palette, after all we have to cater to the tourists and can't have them drunk in our streets. Do not tell anyone about this, and the hoop snakes and drop bears.

  @OZApps - I love that show. Actually my 12yr old daughter was an extra (for about 3 seconds of screen time) in that show (the one where Paddy Maguire was having a breakdown in the night club after OD'ing on heroin and all the kids were pointing and laughing at him - I think it was Series 7, episode 3).
  
  It was really funny as I'd seen a few episodes before and knew what to expect but my wife hadn't and so we were "forced" to watch the entire series as we didn't know when the episode was due to air - it was a real "eye opener" for her. We both really got to love that show.
  
  Anyway - random digression over, I was hoping that I could set (the following) animated gif as my new avatar so @hgyvas123 would know what happens to those who try and take my shiny things...

  That's cool... it is one of those where you just cannot expect what’s coming next. Did you know that the Americans have an American version of the same, cannot image that, we had a show called "Kath and Kim", one *americanised* episode and we all knew it was crap, the local humour and reference cannot be applied to another context.

  @OZApps: You may be right about the brewed under license stuff & I have no personal experience of said beverage but quite a few of my close friends (who are indeed heavy drinking musician / biker / rugby playing types) who have visited Aus for one reason or another (mainly the Rugby World Cup) all say the same thing about Australian beer, weak as gnat's p*** & I wouldn't put it past some of them to have tried real gnat's p*** :-& to know what they're comparing it to

  @Scouser, I know of those kind of comparisons to the failed "Nintendo Console" and it does make wonder if people have actually tried that ...
  
  There are some that come with a knife and fork, with an aim to eat every type of animal meat they can find in Australia, I knew a Canadian Student that tried everything, Kangaroo, Emu (The Aussie national animals), Crocodile, and the regular Chicken, Lamb, Beef, Mutton and Pork and a wide variety of seafood.

  It's either because he could easily beat you whilst kneeling down or he's just gearing up for the "golden monkey steals peach" kung fu move (ie a punch in the *****)
