Hi all, This is my first question in forum, sorry for bad english! Gideros Player seem cannot connect to Gideros Studio in Mac OS 10.7.4. When i click Start button, GiderosPlayer quit unexpectedly. How i can solve this?
@nguyennb 127.0.0.1 and localhost are the standard, pre-defined in your "host" file (/etc/hosts), unless you changed it.
In your screenshot, the "play" button is enabled on Gideros Studio, that means it could connect to the Player already. But I still don't know the reason it crashed :-|
BTW, Gideros Studio uses IP address, not alias. So, for "localhost" (which is just an alias to the loopback 127.0.0.1), Gideros Studio always connects to the Player on your Mac no matter what "localhost" is (in case "localhost" is not defined as 127.0.0.1)
I have a similar issue with the Mac player. Whether I enter the IP as shown in the player (why is it showing 3 IP's? ....I tried all 3), but the play button (and play option) remain grayed out. I am able to run on device though, strangely enough.
Ah....interesting. I tried running it in the simulator, and closed the simulator (didn't know that wasn't supported out of the box) and it was still running it. Apparently that stops Studio from seeing the local player somehow. It now works again.

That is weird, i am on latest MacOSX 10.8.2 and Gideros Player runs fine
Have you tried running the example? or updatng your OS

Have you configured IP Address in Player Setting?
Yes, either using localhost (127.0.0.1) or using on device Gideros Player is fine on my side

I thought problem in IP Address config. Are localhost in Mac OS not is 127.0.0.1?

I tried running Gideros on iAtkos 10.7.2 and 10.7.4 (not MAC OS original). Maybe it's a cause :-?
