@deniz - Yes the end of the world could slow things down a bit although I'm sure @atlim will find a work around

The second event should fire at 00:00:01 on 22-12-2012 which changes the time back to where you change the time to be 00:00:00 on 22-12-2012 so you get back the second you lost.
You must remember to remove the event handlers (especially the second one) otherwise Christmas will never happen and you will be stuck permanently at 00:00:00 on 22-12-2012, your own personal groundhog day
