i won't erase the link soon, but it is anyway only a temporary link/solution. in case @Javi wants me to remove this link, let me know.
btw, @ar2rsawseen, can you tell us anything about how/if/when do labs plugins go into the main (free) release or do they stay in labs even when out of beta to have an incentive to upgrade? or some of them come some of them stay? in this case which?
Ah sorry I forgot about LuaJIT. For now I actually don't know exactly, but I doubt it will go free. Even worse, there is a problem that LuaJIT is not working with lua bytecode but rather plain lua, thus Gideros exports will not be able to precompile the code (to obfuscate it), but rather export plain lua code (or encrypted code for upgraded members), so there are still lots of decisions on what to do there.
But basically it could lead to having plain code export for all free members
Hi! What do you mean by "premium" when you say "For now I can say that Native Bridges, Common Interfaces and any licensing/encryption plugins would be premium only." ? Does it mean you have to upgrade to Indie or Profesional to have access to it ? ( and consequently that you have more entries in Gideros Labs to check out after upgrading ? )
@jalmince and @rockerhieu, It is a bit difficult to understand what does Gideros offer to the subscribers vs the Free version. Unlike other frameworks that restrict and have different versions for different levels of subscriptions, Gideros offers most of the functionality for free.
The access to Gideros Labs that offers some additional plug-ins mainly for social networking and monetizing and the ability to encrypt your assets are what subscribers get in addition to the Free version. The subscription is more of a Thank You from the developers to team Gideros than anything else.
Do not feel that you are disadvantaged (in terms of functionality) if you have not subscribed, no functionality is hampered. @Ar2rsawseen is spending time on these plug-ins and Team Gideros is paying for those hours hence they have decided to make those available for a price. If you are good with Java and/or Objective-C, you can recreate those plug-ins easily. So it is also a price for convenience and a very small one for that matter in comparison.
