  I've done a couple of non-game apps and developed a fairly robust set of common UI widgets in lua, if you want to create a multiplatform app or you want something specific then it's the best way to go, if your looking at iOS only then as @OZApps said - the HotWax plugin is amazing, but your limited to the native controls only.

  @bravcm, there is the Widget Candy component but it is for an alternative framework, but if you are game you can convert that and use in your projects.

  Thanks guys! OZApps, Widget Candy is perfect, but at this moment I don't have enought knowledge (and time) to convert this library to Gideros.
  I want to develop multiplatform app not just for iOS. Because I can't find any useful samples with usage of common UI widgets, can you techdojo or you OZApps provide me some (link, sample project)? I'll be very grateful!! Regards, Matjaž

  You should contact the widget candy developer and let them know of gideros. Also does widgetcandy inc source code?

  Just to update this -I got in contact with the developers of Widget Candy and they confirmed that there will definately be a Gideros port of it :-) According to them, this process took longer than expected because Gideros still lacks many required features so they have to find a couple of workarounds to provide the same set of features and usability.

  I think the only two things that make Gideros different is the absence of Masking and Sprites (which is now available with the textures and regions)
