I'm Katie, a female developer from Cambridge in the UK. I have quite a bit of experience developing business apps on IOS but these have all been native and Gideros looks like an exciting powerful new platform. I thought I would start by building a few simple games as LUA is new to me. Can I ask what tools would be best to use for level editing, sprite editing and physics? Seems to be quite a few options. I have found the ZeroBane editor to be amazing so far so at least I have the editor sorted!

It contains most of the tools that are compatible with or written for Gideros Studio.

Nice to see more females active on the forum, there are a few other girls active on the forum, so your not alone.
Feel free to ask any Lua / game related questions, there are plenty of experienced developers here.
As for level editing - Tiled (mapeditor.org) is one of the easiest to use (and exports lua files that are parsed quite easily). The latest version also includes support for polygon based entities.
LevelHelper and SpriteHelper are also good tools (Mac only I think)

To me it just isn't funny. I don't get American Dad, or South Park, it's just toilet "humor" and it just doesn't appeal, much the same way I can't stand Catherine Tate and the whole "Am I bovvered" culture. It doesn't do anything for me.
