  You can get 620's at CPW for £129/£139 - the PAYG versions are usually unlocked.

  @SinisterSoft: As far as I can tell from the specs, the 520 is identical to the 620 except that the 520 has a larger screen (4"-520, 3.8"-620) and the 620 has NFC. Also according to CPW site, 620 on PAYG costs £150 and £200 if you want it sim free (unlocked).

  @Scouser @phongtt Nokia also gave us a free 620 months ago to do dev on WP8. In Indonesia, Nokia approach many devs these days.

  @scouser, normally if you get an o2, virgin or t-mobile at CPW it's unlocked - but they don't tell you. Avoid orange though....
  
  So for dev the 520 might be better than the 620 if you don't care about nfc?

  I would say so.
  Same CPU, Same Resolution, Slightly bigger screen, I'd go for the 520 (unless I needed NFC but as yet I don't see it being any use until Apple put one in their devices).

  Not really something I'd miss. Magnetometer and gyroscope are optional in the Windows phone 8 specification so any software which supports these devices will not necessarily work on all phones. Which in turn cuts down your potential market.

  My 720 is on the road,I think it's more beautiful than iPhone.
  If without the $99/year, maybe I will give a try for this platform, MS keep hobbyist out of the door .

  I think I am getting the Lumnia 620 soon. Would love the 920 but it is to much to pay extra to my current contract.

  I just need a phone for every day use, since my nexus s was broken out by my angry hit,I think 920 is too large for me
