No forum member should be allowed to post in the Announce your apps category until they have more than maybe 10 posts.
Also, new members should not be allowed to post links until they have a minimum of 5 posts.
As Gideros becomes more popular, this spamming of the forums is going to happen more & more frequently.

Maybe a new member role could be created (probationary) which doesn't allow posting URLs and new members are set as this role, then when the user's post count reaches a chosen number they could then become full members.
I know Vanilla forums allow plugins but I don't know how they work but I'm sure this type of functionality should be very easy to implement.
