Hi all.
My Gideros Studio when exporting says inconsistent license file. When I launch License manager and login I get, after a while, Failed to connect to the server.
In the other recent thread I didn't find a solution: any idea on how to solve ?
Thanks
Paolo

I know you probably gone through this many times, but just a check list to start
Are you behind any kind of proxy?
Can you access http://www.giderosmobile.com/g-userinfo.php?login=atilim&uid=xxx from your computer?
Have you tried disabling firewalls and antiviruses?
If you are behind some routers or something similar, can you try pluging in directly, just to license the version?
If nothing helps, respond here and I'll try to think of something more
Thanks for support.
Apart from disabling Antivirus (which can't be done for this McAfee Enterprise version installed on my PC) I've tried everything.
I can reach the URL which gives "This computer is not authorized", I've tried connecting using various means of connection (corporate, home with ADSL router, mobile) and none works. Using a direct connection like a mobile it waits for a few seconds and then gives the error.
How did you solve for the other user?
Thanks
Cheers,
Paolo
You can download a new version of Gideros License Manager from http://giderosmobile.com/uploads/license_manager.zip Can you extract that zip file anywhere and try it?
Thanks for support to both !
I've tried the new version atilim prepared but I get an error (the application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way) and the application doesn't start at all.
I've tried on my wife's PC and it worked (the standard License Manager), so I think it may be something to do with either the MCAfee Antivirus (which I can't disable) or some obscure security policy applied to my work PC.
Either way, if we can solve I'll be happier, if not I'm up and running and I won't be wasting more of your time if we can't find the reason for the problem.
Thanks a lot.
Paolo
I'll let @atilim know about the error, probably some missing file, etc and can be fixed.
If not through software, then at least manually we can license it
Cheers
I've restarted at home the PC and today it worked !
Looks like yesterday something was influenced by work environment (maybe the auto config proxy URL) while starting clean outside the corporate environment did the trick !
Thanks a lot for all the support !
I think that this is something that clearly sets Gideros above all other frameworks !
Keep up the good work and thanks again.
Cheers,
Paolo
Well, will still implement it
Great idea !!!!
I'll download the License Manager, just in case...
Thanks a lot for everything !
