I am a .NET developer for the past 10 years and now getting slowly into the mobile 2D game development using Gideros.

So what made you turn to mobile 2d games?
For quite some time , I keep reading basic articles on gaming..Now I thought can dive in deeper in Mobile 2D Gaming ,so that I can also get my games into the market :-) and feel happy..
There is the book "Gideros Mobile Game Development", it's great, I'm learning a lot from this book.
It will give you all the guidelines to create your first game.
