After playing with liquid fun in Gideros the lua is the bottleneck and you can't really get anything much from liquid fun particles we are currently discussing on api changes or about getting simple internal particle updater, but both approaches have either lots of work or limitations
so most probably liquid fun will skip next release at least until LuaJIT in Gideros 2.0
With LuaJIT it should be ok on Android, don't know about iOS though?

Not yet - they need to include it with some kind of partical engine.

there was a speed problem of updating all those small particles by one, and they needed to be controlled as a group, which led to other idea of providing a way to control group of sprites, which led to other idea, which led to other idea which continiously led to other idea, that it have become so complicated to implement that we decided to post pone it
But now since LuaJIT, things might have changed, will need to wait for Atilim to do some tests
Probably worth mentioning its Gideros status when advertising a new version in a Gideros forum then. I spent some time looking through it, even jotted notes about designing a game around using it, downloaded it, couldn't work it out, so posted a question, wasted a fair bit of time. But I do look forward to it being available some day.
Sorry if you were misled a bit, but the thread did start with 'This would be great if added native to Gideros...'
