There should be, I'm not involved in the kickstarter - just trying to support it. @john26 is the person to speak to about it.
@john26, please update the kickstarter about this info.
also i would start to worry if 3000 will be met in time. something should be done to reach more people. e.g. adding 64bit support for ios motivates some people, even if that may come without kickstarter earlier, this should be added as a (3000gbp) goal to motivate people?
With the kickstarter goal being reached, we have only a week left to reach the first stretch goal - if you want your games to be added to the list then let me know here and I'll add them.
It's a pity Liz Upton (who is the author of the Raspberry Pi blog and twitter feed) doesn't seem to be interested in the slightest.

it's a bit surprising that they care this (not) much about the kickstarter. on the other hand gideros was always a secret that was kept a bit too well, not many people know about it and its real value. so they could see it as 'just another' pi kickstarter. although it seems there are no such gamekits for pi so far so it's still surprising that they ignore this opportunity.

@SinisterSoft, that's ridiculous, i recommend to forget them. If anything, you are ethusiastic, and I think for the better for Gideros and also for Raspberry Pi community. But if they see it otherwise, let it be. The shame is that some person misjudges you, bans you and then the others don't have the opportunity to decide for themselves. the comment "will you please stop winding people up!" pissed me off though. wasn't it them overreacting when they banned you because of one or two messages they were not interested in?
Ahh - you mean the facebook comment by James, that's fine - I've known James for years.

ShiftPlusOne actually offered to make a Pi version if the initial goal was reached (read the Pi forum thread). Looks like he might be trying to change the subect so that he doesn't have to honour what he wrote.
I can't comment that though as I'm banned - maybe someone else can?

"ShiftPlusOne actually offered to make a Pi version if the initial goal was reached " i read this, but i doubt he would take the time. but perhaps @john26 may try to do it and see how complicated it is, even if the goal is not exactly reached.
I'm absolutely outraged they banned you, @Sinistersoft. I've written a few posts on the same thread including one which is currently awating moderation. Let's see if they ban me as well! (couldn't care less if they do!)

In the thread the person who banned me said he may convert it to the Pi himself if the initial goal was reached. The whole ban might be a smokescreen to get out of it?

Unfortunately sometimes wrong power is given into wrong people. Not everyone should be friendly i agree on that it is a character trait, i understand that. But at least respectfull and objective. I have read all the emails that's send and i followed the campaign from forum, twitter, facebook etc.. and never saw anything insulting. When it comes to aggressiveness, yes we were aggressive but in the means of a marketting campaign there is nothing wrong about beign aggressive sometimes but if you are not spamming or you are not breaking the common ethic rules of internet agressiveness is the normal way to receive followers and to reach more people. (Like forum rules, writing in capital letters etc..)
In our case i believe that we done none of those bad behaviors . Last final words:
- I was using Corona and left that community and their program because of the same attitude that Raspberry PI is making now. I hope they will see that they are in wrong way and correct their behavior towards people.
-One more time i am so much happy that i am a part of this friendly and lovely community. I am sure that all the success will follow this good spirit and efforts.
Thanks @keszegh & @talis, it's beyond me why they are acting like this. Maybe they see Lua as a threat to Python? I have no idea.

That's great news. It's a shame though that a couple of bad apples at the Raspberry Pi foundation kinda spoilt the taste of it all a little.
Still, there are thousands of people who will benefit from this. Hopefully they will allow it on the official distribution so lots more people will become aware of Gideros and start making games as well as playing them.

I made a new raspberry pi forum email address up, posted about the good news and they have deleted the post and banned my ip address!!!

There is no need to argue with these kind of attitude. Better to leave them alone. It is obvious that for some reason that we can not guess, he doesn't like the topic and not interested. It will be their loss. Let's focus to outcome. Outcome is the main and the stretch goal has been reached. Yay
@talis - you are right of course. Someone else will have to help promote the games on the Pi forum though when they are eventually available on the Pi - I doubt they will let me back on...

We'll get Gideros on pi whether they like it or not! After all the RPI foundation does not control all the pi's out there and folks can install whatever software they chose. And I do think the pi stretch goal brought in some more money in spite of the foundation's bizarre attitude.
By making it available on an Arm linux distribution then you are not just adding Pi - you are also adding other systems like Odroid. I can test out on that btw, I've got one on order from Korea.
