  [core] TTFont now support an outline size parameter, which allow to create fonts with a thicker border

  Can you pls share code example, what parameter can we add? uh sorry it's already there in updated documentation

  Actually it is the opposite of openUrl, it allows your app to be opened from another app or from a link on a webpage

  The idea is that you choose an url scheme specific to your app and use it to construct URIs. Suppose you made a puzzle game and you wish to launch it from a webpage, you could register the 'mypuzzle' url scheme for your game, and put links to mypuzzle:/something?parameters on some webpage. When clicked on chrome or safari for mobile, the device would then launch your app to handle this uri.
  
  All you need to do at gideros side is include 'require' plugin and set the 'can respond to url schemes' field to 'mypuzzle'.

  hey guys,
  after updating to latest version this line crashes:
  fontBig=TTFont.new("Roboto-Bold.ttf",44,true, true)
  the fourth parameter was for filtering before but now it expects a number, why?
  
  by the reference it should be for filtering, a boolean:

  more seriously, my app does not run, when i run the project, it starts the player and then closes it after a short while, without giving any error logs.
  by reverting to previous version i can again run my app fine.
  any ideas?

  @keszegh, if the fourth parameter is filtering, then the third was a list of chars to cache, right ? why do you pass 'true' there ?

  i don't know, just wanted to pass something neutral (so that i can get to the fourth param), probably passing 'nil' would be a better idea, in any case true worked in the previous version.

  yes, that's because if you pass something else than a string, then gideros assumes you didn't pass anything and treats it as filtering. And hence fourth arg beciomes outline arg (newly added)

  are any of these also correct?:

  fontBig=TTFont.new("Roboto-Bold.ttf",44, nil, true)
  
  answering these, there is only the 'minor' issue left that my app does not even start up. (i tried another simpler app which did run brw)

  no, only the first version will work. I agree that the doc is not clear about this, filtering should be marked as optional independantly of remaining args

  for your other issue (more annoying), it would be useful to get a stack trace of some sort, or find the piece of code that triggers the issue. It could be virtually anything, but looking at what changed in 2018.6 might give a clue

  yes, but there is no error log at all, on the other hand there are 1000nds of lines of code, so it's impossible to guess the place.

  -thanks, i understand, although i find it slightly illogical that what i pass as 3rd param is understood as 4th, the other two options would be much more readable code.

  so thanks to zbs i could pinpoint the error, it's in the line:
  self.nameText=TextField.new(font,"NAME: "..source_layer.layername)
  where font was earlier defined as:
  font=TTFont.new(resources.."Roboto-Regular.ttf",24,true)

  My app also force closes after the update. It says can not find json. Although my custom player has the plugin. Any ideas?
