Sure, but they say on the video that no optimizations were made, I assumed no instancing. If no textures are used then you must account for colors then, at least four bytes per vertex, or if using a constant for a mesh, you still need lighting parameters. But the texture data isn’t what take the most space anyhow in this scenario.
'no optimizations were done' means that no retopology of models was performed, LOD models were not created, light was not baked into the texture, the map of normal maps was not baked. But instances were made, decimation of triangles was done, assembly of symmetrical textures was done, tile materials were done.

There is automatically superimposed a map of PBR material depending on the color of the vertex, the light is not baked into the texture
As I understand it, the scene can be infinitely scaled up to atoms, and the engine itself optimizes the geometry, But this only applies to static objects

btw, that demo in unreal engine I think has 12GB of data. It's a tech demo - not a game.
Games like Angry Birds, Tetris, Super Mario, Minecraft, etc have a place on the XBox One - as do AAA titles.
Being on XBox One means that people who want to write things like Shoot'em ups, etc can do as Joypad rather than touch is the main input method. Gideros would be perfect for making a shoot'em up game like R-Type, Gradius, Salamander, Defender, Robotron, etc..
The rapid develop - test style of coding that Gideros allows is ideal for making games of this type.
I plan to bring this game to it, but also make it 2 simultaneous players and add some Metroid gameplay ideas:
looks nice
btw I guess Nintendo Switch is closer to Gideros than high-end consoles like PS4/Xbox

@Apollo14 The video is from the early 90s (Amiga). It's surprising what you can do on a machine that's slightly less than 8Mhz and less RAM and screen resolution than it takes for a modern icon when you use assembly language.
In Gideros it will be 10x better and dynamic split-screen multiplayer.
I thought that about the XBox too, but it appears that the XBox Store is kinda two-tier, as well as the AAA titles they also have lots of titles you would expect on the Switch. The benefit is that the same program runs on both Windows 10 and the XBox (because of UWP).

i have an issue that my exported app does not run on an old mac (see attached screenshot). is it intentional? if yes, since which gideros version? is there any way to make it run?
We have upgraded our qt version from 5.10 to 5.14 starting from gideros 2020.5. It seems that 5.14 requires macOS 10.13 minimum. https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/macos.html

it seems i will need to have two gideros versions on my win machine (the new one and 2020.4 to export to macos 10.12), what's the most convenient way to do that?
at the end i just installed the old one into another directory (and clicked that i do not want to uninstall the other version) and so far it seems to work, i can run whichever i want.
You could install VirtualPC on the old Mac OS with Windows 10 - You can then export to the Mac using VirtualPC running Gideros. The Windows version of Gideros can export the XCode export.

Maybe create another user accounts, but I am really not sure that will work.
